How to use the unix timestamp converter

  1. Paste a Unix timestamp in seconds or milliseconds and click → Date.
  2. Or choose a date and time (local or UTC) and click → Timestamp.
  3. Copy the format you need: local, UTC, ISO 8601, seconds or milliseconds.

Unix time counts the seconds since 1 January 1970 UTC and is used in databases, logs, APIs, JWT tokens and spreadsheets exported from apps. This converter detects whether a value is in seconds, milliseconds or microseconds, shows the date in your own time zone and in UTC, and tells you how long ago (or how far in the future) it is. The live clock shows the current timestamp.
