How to use the subtitle converter

  1. Set the target format and, if the subtitles are early or late, a shift in seconds (negative = earlier).
  2. For subtitles made for a different frame rate, choose the speed correction.
  3. Drop one or more .srt or .vtt files — the fixed files download automatically.

Subtitles out of sync are one of the most annoying problems when watching films. Shift all lines forward or back by any number of seconds, or stretch them when the subtitles were timed for a 23.976 fps release and your video is 25 fps. Convert SubRip (.srt) to WebVTT (.vtt) for HTML5 video players and websites, or back to SRT for VLC, TVs and editing software.
