How to use the online file splitter

  1. Choose the file you want to cut into pieces.
  2. Set a part size in MB, or how many parts you want.
  3. Click Split file and save the parts (as one ZIP or one by one).

Email services and messengers often limit attachments to 10–25 MB. Split a large archive, video or backup into numbered parts (.001, .002…) and send them separately. The parts are plain byte slices, so they can be joined with our File Joiner, with 7-Zip, or on Windows with copy /b file.001+file.002 file. Splitting happens instantly in your browser — the file is not uploaded.
