How to use the remove silence from audio

  1. Choose a voice memo, lecture, podcast or interview recording.
  2. Adjust what counts as silence (volume in dB and minimum length) and how much of each pause to keep so speech still sounds natural.
  3. Click Remove silence, listen to the result and download it as WAV.

Long pauses make recordings boring and big. Removing them speeds up lectures and voice notes, tightens podcasts and makes language practice recordings easier to review. Tiny fades are added at every cut, so there are no clicks. If quiet words get cut, lower the threshold (e.g. −50 dB).
