How to use the regex tester

  1. Type a regular expression and its flags (g, i, m, s, u, y).
  2. Paste the text to test — matches are highlighted as you type.
  3. See every match with its position and capture groups, and try a replacement.

Uses the JavaScript (ECMAScript) regex engine, the same one used in browsers and Node.js, with support for named groups, lookbehind and Unicode property escapes like \p{L}. Handy for checking validation patterns, log parsing and search-and-replace before you put them in code.
