Password Strength Checker

See how hard your password is to crack — checked privately in your browser. Free — your password is never sent anywhere.

🔒 The check runs only on this page — nothing is stored or transmitted. Still, don’t type your real banking password into any website; test a similar one instead.

🔒 100% private — processing happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

How to use the password strength checker

    1. Type a password (or a similar one) into the box.
    2. See its strength, estimated entropy and how long it would take to crack.
    3. Follow the warnings to remove weak patterns.

Strength depends mostly on length and unpredictability. The checker estimates entropy from the character types used, then penalises common passwords, keyboard runs (qwerty, 1234), repeated characters, years and the “Capital-word-plus-numbers” pattern that cracking tools try first. Crack times assume an online attack (100 guesses per second) and an offline attack on a leaked hash (10 billion per second).
