How to use the online Markdown editor

  1. Type Markdown on the left — or open a .md file — and watch the formatted preview on the right.
  2. Use the toolbar (or Ctrl+B / Ctrl+I) for bold, italic, headings, links, lists, tables and code blocks.
  3. Copy the clean HTML, or download your work as a .md or a ready-to-publish .html file.

A free Markdown editor with live preview that supports GitHub-flavoured Markdown: tables, task lists, strikethrough and fenced code blocks. It is ideal for README files, documentation, blog posts and notes. The preview is generated in your browser with the open-source marked library, and scripts, event handlers and other unsafe HTML are stripped from the result. Your draft is autosaved in this browser only — nothing is sent to a server.
