How to use the keyboard tester

  1. Click on the page so it has keyboard focus.
  2. Press every key — each working key turns green.
  3. Keys that stay grey did not send a signal: check them or the keyboard connection.

Useful after spilling a drink, when buying a used laptop, or when a key seems to “stick”. The tester reads the physical key code, so it works with any keyboard language layout (QWERTY, AZERTY, Cyrillic). Ghosting can be checked by holding several keys at once and seeing which ones light up.
