How to use the image to ASCII art converter

Choose a picture — portraits and logos with good contrast work best.
Set the width in characters and the character set; optionally invert or colour it.

ASCII art turns brightness into characters: dark areas get dense symbols like @ and #, light areas get dots and spaces. Use it in code comments, README files, terminal banners, chats or just for fun. Characters are roughly twice as tall as they are wide, so the height is halved automatically to keep proportions.
