How to create a favicon
- Open your logo or any image — square pictures of 512×512 pixels or more work best.
- Choose fit or crop, padding, background and corner style, and check the previews at every size.
- Download the ZIP with favicon.ico, PNG icons, the Apple touch icon and a web manifest, then paste the HTML code into your site.
A favicon is the small icon shown in browser tabs, bookmarks and on phone home screens. This generator builds a real multi-size favicon.ico (16, 32 and 48 px) plus PNG icons in 16, 32, 48, 180, 192 and 512 px, so your site looks sharp in Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox, Android and iOS. Everything is made in your browser — your logo is not uploaded. For WordPress you can also upload the 512 px icon under Settings → Site Icon.
